The sections below contain
details regarding current
Tec^Edge
programs and facilities.
PROGRAMS
Development Workshops:
These one to five day developmental sessions are
intended for individuals, groups, or a specific company or
organizational unit. Ranging from “team building” to preparing
individuals/groups to be part of a culture of innovation, these
workshops are customized to fit the needs of your group or
organization. They are led by facilitators with decades of combined
experience and employ a combination of group discussion, small team
activities, and brief lectures in a collaborative and rewarding
learning experience.
Solution
Forums: These one to five day problem
oriented sessions bring together a diverse and multi-disciplined
group of recognized experts to focus on a particular National
security or public safety problem/issue. Typically organized with a
chair from academia/industry, these facilitated sessions range from
early definition and understanding of a particular problem to
actually identifying and describing solutions or approaches to
solutions.
Resident
Teams:
This program brings multidisciplinary and/or
joint (government/industry/academia) teams into the
Tec^Edge
environment to reside for extended periods of time (weeks to months)
to intensely collaborate on specific problems or opportunities. The
range of activity expands across problem definition/exploration, to
experimentation, to the initial stages of prototyping. Many times
these teams will be a follow on to Solution Forums and may also
decide to meet at scheduled intervals over an extended period of
time.
Rapid
Reaction/Prototyping Teams:
A developing initiative, where a team comprised of
Tec^Edge
associates from various areas of expertise is brought together to
develop a response or solution to an urgent technology need.
Virtual
Hub (Evolving):
The “always on” connection for
Tec^Edge
associates.
Tec^Edge Network
(Beginning Fall/Winter,2007):
This initiative challenges
Tec^Edge to be a persistent energy source to leverage and focus
the capabilities of a network of partners on AFRL
challenges/research that also results in an economic development
network creating high value jobs in Ohio.
FACILITIES
Rapid
Prototyping Laboratory (Beginning in Fall/Winter, 2007):
